The copyright policy we adopt as a journal is based on the principle of the free dissemination of scientific knowledge. In this context:
- The Author is the Copyright Holder: The copyright (intellectual property rights) of all articles accepted for publication remains exclusively with the authors. Authors retain full moral rights and the right to use their work for non-commercial purposes.
- Upon acceptance of the article, authors grant the journal the perpetual and irrevocable first publication right to publish the work, reproduce it in the journal format, store it in a digital environment, and distribute it in accordance with international standards.
- Authors retain the right to use articles published in our journal in the following ways, provided they legally cite the original source (our journal), without any concern for copyright infringement:
- Sharing their articles on their personal websites, corporate archives or repositories (Institutional Repository),
- For use in course materials, books, book chapters, theses or similar academic works.
- Upon acceptance for publication in the Journal of Nationalism Studies, authors agree that their article will be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence. - No royalties are paid for articles published in the journal.
